What is a Skin Pinch Lower Blepharoplasty?
A skin pinch lower blepharoplasty is a targeted surgical procedure that addresses loose or wrinkled skin beneath the eyes without altering the underlying fat pads or muscles. Unlike more comprehensive eyelid surgeries, this approach involves a very fine incision placed just beneath the lower lash line, through which a precise amount of excess skin is gently “pinched” and removed.
This results in a smoother under-eye area, with less visible wrinkling and improved skin tightness. Dr. Reddy carefully calibrates each procedure to remove just the right amount of tissue, preserving the natural shape of the eyes while subtly lifting the lower lid, yet maintaining enough skin redundancy to allow normal facial movements when looking up or opening your mouth widely.
It’s an excellent option for individuals who don’t have puffiness or “fat bags” under the eyes but are bothered by skin redundancy or early aging changes. This procedure can be performed as a standalone surgery or in combination with other procedures, such as an upper blepharoplasty, a lower eyelid blepharoplasty, a browlift, or even laser skin resurfacing.
